Rachel Davis, Just Audit’s MD, has been elected as President of the West Yorkshire Society of Chartered Accountants.
Her aims as President are to improve communications between members and their ICAEW networks – both locally and nationally. She is also working to engage students and younger members with the society.
“My aim as Yorkshire society president in 2018/19 is to meet as many members as possible and to work with them, the local and the national institute to help identify and develop better communication between the two, for the benefit of us, the members.
I will be doing this by listening to members to understand what they would like to receive from the local and national institute and how they would like to receive it as well as understand the issues they have and would like addressed. My plan is to meet members at training courses and other local society events throughout the year to better understand the needs of our constituency.
Finally, I hope to support Tom our immediate past president in increasing the engagement of the students and younger members.”
